Cool Britannia

Just as 'Cool Britannia' was a short-lived piece of media aimed at promoting the UK to a world audience, so too is the forthcoming summer of 2012 putting Britain back on the world's stage.
Thanks to our Brit Pop and the contemporary notoriety of Brit Art (I thank you, David Hockney RA) we have never had more to boast about: so let's get behind our superb current day heroes of the track, field, sail and bat. Hang the double sided cotton Union Jack bunting around your home with pride. Put on the tv and follow Ben Ainslie's jibe and tacking along the waters so that Britannia really do rule the waves again.

We can recapture that 'Summer of Love', when Britain, or London at least, really was cool. London landmarks like Big Ben and our classic double decker buses are recognised world-over. Put one of our bespoke Bus cushions on a bed or in the nursery (http://www.littlepresentcompany.co.uk/prodpage.asp?ProdID=389) for £33 with your child's name.

The forthcoming 60th anniversary of the Queen's reign is a hugely anticipated event. The only other British monarch to celebrate a Diamond Jubilee was Queen Victoria in 1897. When we have our long bank holiday weekend in early June, dress your babies in our funky crown babyvests and babygrows - Long Live the Queen! http://www.littlepresentcompany.co.uk/prodpage.asp?ProdID=438. Invite in the neighbours, serve tea in a bone china cup and eat triangular cucumber sandwiches. It is a great year to bring out the British in you.

Celebrate with us at www.littlepresentcompany.co.uk.
With love from
Emily and Emma
